New York State and FEMA Open Community Vaccination Sites Statewide

On February 19, New York State announced its partnership with FEMA to launch a pilot project to establish community vaccination centers (CVCs) in New York State. FEMA will provide resources, operational support, and federal staff to support these centers.

Eligible New Yorkers in the areas of Buffalo, Rochester, Albany and Yonkers can register now.

For the first week of scheduling, appointments at these centers are initially reserved for New Yorkers living in areas with low vaccination rates. After one week, appointments at each site will then be made available to all residents of counties served by the site.

How to determine eligibility and register

Visit New York's 'Am I Eligible' website or call the state's COVID-19 Vaccination Hotline at:
1-833-NYS-4-VAX (1-833-697-4829)

You can also visit the sites to make an appointment.

Targeted outreach will continue to local community organizations (churches, nonprofits, voluntary organizations, independent living centers) and elected officials within communities with high Social Vulnerability Index ratings to address vaccine equity and hesitancy.

FEMA, in alignment with President Biden’s national plan to respond to COVID-19, will continue to partner with the state of the New York. Together we will ensure every New Yorker who wants a vaccine can get one — equitable access to the COVID vaccine is a top priority.
